What customers say?

“ We booked a tea masterclass "tea ceremony" for our German students year 8. It was fab! Everyone learnt a lot about British traditions, tea ceremonies and the dance was a wonderful event for us. Our students said they would recommend it! We (the teachers) will book it every year! ”

“ Wonderful afternoon tea experience today! Very reasonably priced and delicious food. Would highly recommend! ”

“ I took my Italian friend to this wonderful tea room this afternoon. I am sure she will post on this review too, but all I can say is, from my point of view as a Hastings local since 1965, this place is a clever, wonderful, sophisticated and fascinating insight into the world of tea. We are going to book a 'teatime masterclass' with them within the next few days, but as for today - we just had such a yummy time with the fragrant tea, delicious cakes and freshly-prepared tea-fingered sandwiches. I don't mean to gush, but it was absolutely beyond my expectations, and I highly recommend it! ”

“ Lovely little tea museum and cafe. Yummy scones and good choice of tea. Good value for money. I recommend. Fyi the museum element is quite small ”

- Roya D -

“ Thank you for a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend the tea museum, fantastic selection of teas, all from the Earl Grey family so you know you're getting good quality. The students loved dressing up and sitting in the Victorian carriage, they really had fun. I must say looking at some of the reviews on here I was a bit worried but after our experience I can see there's probably a bit of mischief going on, we all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend, thank you for making our visit so much fun. ”

“ Was lovely to find this little gem in Hastings.A change from the usual pubs for visiting relatives. Serene atmosphere and the host couldn't have been more accommodating and informative about all the teas on offer. The old carriage and dressing up box is a huge asset and kept the children amused for hours ,they felt welcomed and not at all an irritation as you sometimes find.A pleasant and relaxing afternoon . ”

“ It was a very good experience for me. The moment I entered, I noticed that the music was very loud, but when she started to speak, she turned off the music to speak. It was quite funny because she has a very humorous style. She spoke to us about the things you need to do when you drink tea, and she communicated with us in a very amusing way, using sounds and expressions that were very hilarious. At one point, she told us to go and "explore" the place and allowed us to dress up with unusual customs. It was very funny, but she gave us little time to do that. I would have preferred more time, but it was still good for me. Then she taught us how to prepare cream tea, which was delicious. When I left the place, I felt that I had learned something new about the tradition of tea. Overall, it was a very good experience, and you can learn something new in a very funny way. I am very satisfied. ”
